SP Holding Supply 1200th Litter Bin to Telford & Wrekin Council

Telford-based SP Holding have supplied their 1200th vandal resistant litter bin to Telford & Wrekin Council, which they have designed and manufactured at their metal fabrication workshop in Horsehay.
SP Holding's Fabrication division was formed in May 2008 after the purchase of local firm Slipway Services, who had been in operation since 1984 under the watchful eye of Tony Wood. Slipway had previously fabricated a number of projects for Telford & Wrekin Council providing fencing, barriers and grids, to name but a few.
In 2004, Telford & Wrekin Council approached Slipway to design and manufacture a new style of bin after problems with vandalism around the area.
Mick Duce, Environmental Client Team Leader at Telford & Wrekin Council says: "We now have a bin that is by far the most resistant to the effect of vandals and with the most attractive appearance. Over the years we have relied more and more on their innovative skills in combatting the cost of vandalism. Since forming the Fabrication division, SP Holding have now continued to supply the bins around Telford and the 1200th bin has recently been installed. Other innovations have included a disabled access picnic bench, which can be seen in Telford Town Park.
