Our relationship with Slipway Services commenced in 1984. They undertook various projects, namely the design and manufacture of steel overflow grids, fencing, kissing gates, horse stepovers and barriers. Over the years we have relied more and more on their innovative skills in combatting the cost of vandalism.
We have been impressed with the strength and design of products. To name just one event, in August 2004 we were experiencing vandal problems with litter bins. Slipway Services took on the task of designing a bin that would combat this. Over the weeks and months we installed their prototypes and where we found weaknesses, they altered and redesigned. We now have a bin that as by far the most resistant to the effects of vandalism and with a most attractive appearance.
In May 2008, Slipway Services were purchased by the SP Holding Group of Companies. We feared that this would detract from the service we had become so used to, but this has not been the case. In fact, the service now has become wider and diverse with the introduction of a purpose-built workshop, the facility of being able to draw upon unlimited plant and a fully compliant Health & Safety regime.
In conclusion we at Telford & Wrekin Council do recommend the SP Holding Group of Companies as a valued company to do business with.
